Marital Satisfaction Questionnaires ! walofs

Women who stay thinner than their spouse, at least in the first few years of matrimony, are more satisfied overall in their marriage. But being skinny wasn’t the be all, end all, it was the body mass index score (BMI) which determined satisfaction.

The study from researchers out of the University of Tennessee, and published in the most recent issue of the journal followed 169 couples, beginning in the newlywed stage through the first four years of marriage.

The couples, all 35 years old or younger, regularly completed marital satisfaction questionnaires, which included the body mass index (BMI) of husband and wife. Results showed that wives were happier when their BMI was lower than that of their spouse. And the husbands also had the identical response, at least early on in the marriage.
As the study progressed, men maintained their satisfaction level, but women who were able to keep their BMI lower than their spouse as the years passed, increased their contentedness.

The study did not pinpoint the reason for the marital satisfaction, but did note that the results were the same when taking into account other factors such as income and mental health issues.
“The great take-home message from our study is that women of any can be happy in their relationships with the right partner,” stated lead researcher Andrea Meltzer. “It’s relative weight that matters, not absolute weight. It’s not that they have to be small.”

Marital satisfaction questionnaires - lol, a far quicker and more effective study would have been question 1) did you get laid last night if yes tick all following answers as "happy/satisfied" if no then "unhappy/unsatisfied".
